A tele-ICU platform is being implemented in Israel at the Sheba Medical Center and the Ichilov Hospital of Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
The platform, developed by Clew, uses predictive analysis based on artificial intelligence (AI) to identify respiratory deterioration in advance, thus enabling early interventions that could change the clinical outcome, especially in COVID-19 patients.
Thanks to this function, healthcare professionals can understand the severity of the disease from a remote, control centre and thus assist a large number of patients.
In anticipation of a surge in admissions to intensive care units (ICUs), both organizations are setting up new intensive care units that will use telemedicine technologies to remotely monitor patients from centralized command and control facilities.
