The first LOINC conference organised outside the United States together with the TIC Salut Foundation will be held in Barcelona from 23 to 25 October. The programme is really of interest.
On the first day, the Laboratory Committee Meeting will be held to discuss updates on the adoption of LOINC and the most important aspects of development and implementation. You can participate in this session for free or remotely.
The second day is dedicated to a series of workshops on LOINC that deal with various topics related to semantics, coding, interoperability with FHIR and implementation. The registration fee gives full access to all sessions, including videos and slides after the event. You can consult the workshop program here.
On the third day, the LOINC Clinical Committee will meet to discuss updates and issues related to the clinical environment. All meetings of the Committee are public and free of charge. For this event too it is possible to participate remotely.
The conference will be held at the Tecnocampus Conference Centre in Matarò, a town about 30 kilometres north-east of Barcelona. Those who register by 9 September will benefit of a $50 discount on the participation fee.
