After Apple introducing in its last-generation Watch the ECG reading (actually available on the USA market only), it’s Withings’ turn now, who presented at CES in Las Vegas three new products, two of which with ECG tracking and support to the health app.
Withings BPM Core is an arm device able to measure the blood pressure, make an ECG (by means of two electrodes) and act as digital stethoscope. Thanks to these characteristics it can precociously identify the hypertension, the atrial fibrillation (AFib) and the valvular heart disease (VHD). In only 90 seconds the device can execute the three measurements and show the results by means of LED matrix. Data are also transferred to the Withings’ Health Mate app.
Move ECG is an analogic smart watch with embedded ECG reader. It is 50-meters water-proof, with a battery duration of 12 months, equipped with an activity tracker able to counter steps, run and swimming, also integrating an altimeter for scale detection, The FDA certification is on course and should be released promptly. The selling price is unknown.
Move is an analogic smart watch equipped with an activity tracker of run, swimming and sleep. Available in different colours, has a battery with 18 months or autonomy and, as the elder brother ECG, can connect to Health Mate app. It is already marketed at the price of 69.95 US$.
